Christmas For Christ was conceived by Rev. Jack Yonts in 1966. Yonts had the idea of families giving their biggest gift to Jesus each Christmas, and his home missions church raised one thousand dollars to support other home missionaries. The idea quickly spread, and soon thereafter became a national program.

For over fifty years, churches across North America have annually held a special Christmas For Christ offering during the holiday season to help support church planters. CFC has raised over $80 million since 1966 - all of which goes to fund North American missionaries as they spread the Gospel to spiritually-deprived areas.
